LE JUNK RETURNS WITH UNCOMPROMISING NEW SINGLE ‘ENGLISH GARDEN’

His first release since the 2023 debut EP ‘Hush’, LE JUNK returns with a forcefully pulsating track that delves into prejudice and a recurring theme of self-reflection.

We’re immediately captivated by a gritty guitar riff that assaults us from the outset. As the drums enter, it can’t help but ensnare us in a head-banging frenzy; the wide and bold four-to-the-floor drums remain uninterrupted throughout. It’s evident that he’s not afraid to embrace the grit and roughness.

The track then transitions into a broader, euphoric soundscape, accompanied by vocal harmonies that evoke a choir-like quality. However, there’s no time to rest. We’re abruptly thrown back into the scuzzy bass tones, hard-hitting drums that are simply irresistible. Delivered in the first person, a vocal style prevalent throughout Le Junk’s songwriting, he says: “The lyrics are sung from the perspective of someone who is desperate to change themselves for the better - and coming to terms with a previous version of themselves who they no longer align with, while struggling to escape the shame of their past.”

The track is complemented by a wonderfully vintage music video, where we’re serenaded amidst ‘traditionally English’ backdrops that align with the track’s theme. This touches upon the growing rise of xenophobia and far-right political groups across the UK. ‘English Garden’ is due for release March 12th 2025 and will be available to stream everywhere.
